Our desire is to make San Luis Obispo Classical Academy as affordable as possible for all who might be interested.  At the same time, we're committed to not only surviving, but thriving here at in our Central Coast community. 


Tuition prices for the 2014/2015 School Year are listed below. To best meet family needs, tuition may be paid in one, two or four lump sums or broken into 10, 11 or 12 monthly payments beginning in July and ending in April, unless enrolling late at which time tuition is prorated and a payment plan is set up.

There is a $225 Student Registration & Insurance Fee for each returning student, with a maximum per family of $450 if all students are returning, $475 if there is one new student.  The Student Registration & Insurance Fee for all new students is $300. The registration fee is non-refundable and is due at the time of registration.  There will be a late fee assessed each month if payment is not received by the due date for your balance due. 


At the beginning of each school year or at enrollment if a late add, you are required to sign a financial contract.   SLO Classical Academy makes contractual commitments to faculty and staff based upon enrollment.  This annual obligation must be met even if a student withdraws from the Academy.  Therefore, all tuition and fees are still due in full once the Financial Contract is signed.  Based on this contract, late fees will be assessed as follows if the school does not receive payment by the 5th of the month.


  1. The first month payment is late, there will be a $25 late fee.
  2. The second month payment is late, there will be a 10% of outstanding total charged.  This will be followed by an approved plan of payment or termination.
  3. If you are two months or more late on tuition payments, you may not take part in any additional school services.  This includes academy classes and reenrollment.


By signing the Financial Contract, you are agreeing to the yearly tuition amount as well as agreeing to the full year of tuition.  Should you choose to withdraw your student(s) from the program, you understand that you are still responsible for the yearly tuition.  Only under extenuating circumstances (death, loss of job, extreme illness in the family), and upon review of a written request of explanation, the school board may choose to waive the balance remaining.  You understand that while the school board makes every effort to be fair and reasonable, they do take seriously the signing of the financial contract.
